The Christmas tag
21 December 2017
Hello and welcome back to another blog post. The countdown to Christmas is now officially 4 days left. Its been a mad dash to finish of last minute Christmas preparations and preparations for the new year, including any blog posts that I still ahve left to post. I have two more to finish of the year, and they're pretty cool. The schedule for these last two posts of the year will be on the next upcoming Saturdays. There are also going to be many changes going into the new year. That means a whole new blogging schedule for 2018 and what I post will be different that what I have this year. The content will be different, which is something I have been wanting to do for a very long time now. Anyway, without further ado, let's get started with today's post.
I never even knew there was such thing until I did my research, and indeed there was such thing. I found the Christmas Tag here are The Enthusiast’s blog. The questions I will be answering will also be based on the questions I found on The Enthusiast’s blog.
1. What is your favourite Christmas film?
I remember seeing A Christmas Carol one time with a few of my friends when I was very young, and to this day has become one of the movies that I enjoy watching.
2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?
Living in Sydney, Australia, I have never had a White Christmas ever in my life. I would love to visit London, New York or Paris at least once in my lifetime, to experience a White Christmas.
3. Where do you usually spend your holiday?
At home, with family.
4. What is your favourite Christmas song?
This is going to sound so cliché, but ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ by Mariah Carey. It’s one of those songs that you can’t go wrong with during the Christmas season. Every-time this song plays anywhere whether it’s in shopping malls or on the radio, it makes me want to sing along with it.
5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Since my birthday falls around this time of the year, my presents are usually already opened by then, or they’re about to be opened.
6. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Unfortunately, I cannot. I do remember Rudolf, Prancer and Vixen
7. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
I know this is not a holiday tradition, but the idea of gift giving and seeing the smile on everyone’s faces when they receive their presents. Also sitting down around the dinner table, and having a family dinner
8. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Fake
9. What is your all-time favourite holiday food/sweet treat?
Shortbread cookies and candy canes (you can’t go wrong with the original red and white stripped ones)
10. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
It’s kind of both for me. I love gifting gifts and seeing a smile on people’s faces, but also receiving gifts because you have no idea what’s in them. It’s the anticipation that makes it so special.
11. What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?
Every gift that I have received is equally as amazing as the last. But the ones that I think are extra special are the gifts that are hand-made because they have extra love put into them. Also, I remember this one time when I was six, when my teacher had specific gifts for everyone. It’s a book, that I still keep and have to this day. (It may be one of the reasons that I love to read books so much these days)
12. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
As I said above, having a White Christmas in New York, London or Paris would be a dream
13. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
Neither. It also really depends on the shape of the present. If it’s a square shaped present, it’s usually easier for me to wrap, compared to a weirdly shaped present, which for me can take a long time to wrap.
14. Most memorable Holiday moment?
Probably being able to celebrate Christmas and my birthday all in the same week. It’s one of those things that not many people get to experience ever.
15. What made you realise the truth about Santa?
It was not until the age of I think ten, when I did realise that Santa was not real
16. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?
Yes. I made New Years resolutions last year for this year, and most of them I have achieved.
17. What makes the holidays special for you?
I think for me, being able to reflect on the past year and seeing all the achievements and milestones that I have achieved. Also, being able to let go of all the holiday drama, and relaxing.
